PETERBOROUGH are hungry for revenge in a top-versus-bottom battle tomorrow (Sunday) - despite their place in the Premier League Cup semi-finals already being assured.
The 'TC Harrison' Panthers travel to Rye House for their final Southern Group fixture after securing top spot with a meeting to spare thanks to a terrific triumph at Plymouth last night (Friday).
But co-boss Blayne Scroggins is adamant his men will not be short of motivation as they bid to right the wrongs of two defeats at the hands of the Rockets already this season.
Panthers slipped to a 46-44 loss at the East of England Showground when the curtain went up on the new era of Premier League racing and were subsequently beaten 56-37 at Hoddesdon in the opening leg of the East of England Cup.
"We need to make it third time lucky," said Scroggins. "We certainly owe Rye House after they won at our place on our opening night and then beat us again a few days later.
"The fact we are already through to the semi-finals doesn't change our aim for this meeting. We're going to Rye looking for a victory to continue building our momentum.
"Points mean pounds to speedway riders so you won't catch any of our guys taking it easy."
Ulrich Ostergaard and Lasse Bjerre both return after missing last night's 47-42 success at Plymouth due to their involvement in Danish Championship semi-finals. Skipper Ostergaard was successful in reaching the final whereas Bjerre bowed out.
Steve Boxall lines up against Panthers a couple of days after starring for them. The Rye House man was an inspired choice of guest by Scroggins for the trip to Plymouth in which he top-scored with paid 13.
