PETERBOROUGH boss Rob Lyon insists King’s Lynn will be treated with full respect when they visit the East of England Arena on Thursday (7.30).
The Stars have only won two meetings all season but have shown some improvement in recent weeks and have a new manager in Alex Brady.
They have also made two changes in time for the clash with Ben Barker and Kasper Andersen joining the club.
A bumper crowd is expected with a number of Stars fans set to make the journey across from Norfolk.
Panthers are looking to bounce back from their Monday night defeat at Wolverhampton where they managed to add a consolation point for losing away by four-points.
Lyon will face his former club after enjoying a glittering spell in charge of the Stars, winning every major trophy during their Championship days.
Said Lyon: “We treat everyone with the respect they deserve, but it’s about what we do as a team.
“If we do our job at home then we should come out as winners, but King’s Lynn have had a bit of a resurgence in the last few weeks so we won’t be taking it lightly and I’m sure that it will be a good match.
“We have to be confident in our own ability and our own form to be coming away with the win.”
Panthers will again be without popular Dane Ulrich Ostergaard with wrist and back injuries and will utilise the rider replacement facility once again which means his four programmed riders will be taken by Panthers riders without using a guest.
Fans are reminded the best way to gain admission for meetings at the Showground is by buying tickets in advance from the link on the homepage of the club website although pay on the night is also available.
