PETERBOROUGH Speedway are pleased to confirm their press and practice session this Saturday will go ahead as planned.
And the riders will also meet supporters at a special social gathering that same evening and Peterborough Post Office Sports and Social Club.
The events take place despite the postponement of Sunday’s 50th anniversary meeting due to the main grandstand being unavailable with remedial repair work required.
Crendon Panthers owner Keith Chapman said: “There is no reason why press and practice cannot go ahead even without the use of the main stand.
“Supporters are welcome to watch from other areas of the arena. Once again we apologise for the inconvenience and disappointment of Sunday’s cancellation but all our focus is now on making a flying start to the season.
“Rob Lyon, Carl Johnson, Colin Pratt and the team are now very much preparing for next Thursday’s new opening home date against King’s Lynn.”
