ROHAN Tungate has revealed how he was set to sit out British Speedway this year – but the lure of the Peterborough track proved too much to turn down.
Aussie ace Tungate is back at the Showground for a second successive season after pondering his plans for 2020.
He’ll be based once again in Poland but flight times into the UK are good and he says improvements made to the track last season were impressive.
“The track was awesome last year, I loved flying around there and that’s why it was a pretty easy decision to come back to Peterborough in the end,” he said.
“At the end of last season I’d pretty much decided to give the UK a miss this year but I love riding at Peterborough and I’m pleased to be back.
“We have riders now and the team is looking good, we just need to put the finishing touches to the team and I’m sure we’ll entertain the fans. I’m looking forward to it.”
Meanwhile Tungate is looking to enhance his sponsorship portfolio within the UK and if anyone is interested in supporting him please contact the club in the first instance by email: info@peterborough-speedway.com and your details will be passed on.
