PETERBOROUGH will make a busy start to the 2020 season.
Already announced is the club’s 50th anniversary individual meeting on Sunday March 15.
Now it’s been confirmed they will launch their Premiership Supporters’ Cup group at the Showground the following Thursday, March 19, against A47 rivals King’s Lynn.
They then race the return in Norfolk the following Monday, March 23, before another home clash with Premiership runners-up Ipswich on Thursday March 26.
Their cup campaign continues at Swindon on Thursday April 2 with the return at home the following Monday, April 6.
The Cup group concludes at Ipswich on Thursday April 16 – but their league programme starts at the Showground with King’s Lynn on Monday April 13.
And there’s good news with a home meeting in the summer holidays when Peterborough face Belle Vue on Thursday August 13.
Crendon Peterborough City Auction Group Panthers owner Keith Chapman said: “It’s a busy March and into April for the boys but it means they are straight into it.
“It’s going to be an exciting season and we’re determined to put on the best entertainment package we can for supporters.
“Talks with riders continue, we are looking at all our options before deciding the best route to go down.
“Obviously the clashes between Peterborough and King’s Lynn will be great, but we’re also looking to put one over the reigning champions Swindon – and it will be tough against Belle Vue with Charles Wright coming back.
“Once again we must thank our good friends at Crendon Timber Engineering through Steve Thompstone and Michael Tomalin at City Auction Group for their wonderful support going forward into the 2020 season.”
