PROCTOR EXPLAINS SUNDAY ABSENCE

Sunday October 20, 2019
PETERBOROUGH racer Ty Proctor has explained his absence from today’s (Sunday’s) final fixture of the season at Wolverhampton (4pm).

The Australian suffered a dislocated shoulder whilst on Championship duty for Leicester on Saturday and remains in discomfort.

Proctor explained: “Glasgow’s Sam Jensen made a mistake and hit me quite hard in the first corner and my shoulder actually popped out.

“I hung on at the time because the race was so important but I was in a lot of discomfort.

“When I came back in I went straight to the medics room and it took about 10 minutes to pop it back in.

“At this stage I’d say I’m 50/50 for the second leg of the Championship Grand Final but I’m having some physio on Monday and if that goes well then hopefully I’ll be good to ride.

“Unfortunately it means I have to miss Peterborough’s fixture at Wolves and that’s a shame.

“I’ve had some good meetings here and there since I signed for them and I thank everyone for the opportunity.

“I wish the team good luck and it would be nice for the supporters and the management if they could round off the season with a win.”
