PETEROROUGH have made a move to bring popular Danish racer Ulrich Ostergaard back to the club.
Ostergaard will return in place of broken foot victim Aaron Summers who saw his season ended at the weekend.
It’s a move which is sure to go down well with Crendon Panthers fans and he will be back in the side for Thursday’s trip to Swindon.
He made a stunning guest appearance at Ipswich last week, winning his first three outings.
And boss Carl Johnson is hoping this positive news will lift supporters ahead of their return to the East of England Arena next Thursday.
Johnson said: “That was the best I’ve seen him ride in Panthers colours and as soon as we heard about Aaron Summers and his broken foot I made my move.
“Ulrich is a great guy and has done great things for this club, he’s one of the most popular riders we’ve had down the years.
“Hopefully this will give us all a bit of a lift as we prepare to return home next week after a long absence.”
THURSDAY TEAM AT SWINDON: Rohan Tungate, Ty Proctor, Charles Wright, Hans Andersen, Scott Nicholls, Ulrich Ostergaard, Jason Garrity.
