PETERBOROUGH’S injury problems have increased with the news that Aaron Summers will miss the remainder of the season.
The Australian, who joined the Crendon Panthers on the eve of the campaign, suffered a broken foot in a crash at Berwick on Saturday.
It means he will be ruled out of Panthers’ four remaining Premiership fixtures, starting at Swindon on Thursday.
Elsewhere Charles Wright and Ty Proctor, who both missed the trip to Ipswich on Thursday with injury problems, did return to action in the Championship over the weekend.
Panthers will now assess any options ahead of the visit to the Abbey Stadium, with the transfer deadline also coming up later this week.
They return to racing at the East of England Arena on Thursday September 5 when they host Belle Vue in the first of three matches featuring sides currently in the scramble to clinch play-off places.
