PETERBOROUGH racer Charles Wright is dreaming of Cardiff.
Wright, one of the bright spots in a tricky season for the Crendon Panthers, takes his place in the British Final at Belle Vue on Monday.
And the winner will be handed a wildcard entry into the FIM British Grand Prix at the Principality Stadium on Saturday, September 21, in front of over 40,000 fans.
Said Wright: “I’ve not been in the British Final for a few years, missing out through bad luck or not doing the semi.
“Belle Vue is just down the road for me and there is always plenty of passing which means it could be anyone’s on the night. It is one to look forward to.
“I have invested in some good motors this year and while it will be a tough night and it can go anyone’s way, I am going there to win.
“I am not going just to mix it up, I want that wildcard spot in Cardiff.
“As a British rider it would be a dream come true. That’s what everyone aims for and to have the title of British champion would be even better – let’s see what happens.”
Wright is joined by fellow Panthers man Scott Nicholls in the line-up with King’s Lynn’s Robert Lambert set to defend his title.
Tickets are still available from the Belle Vue website or on the night from the Aces ticket office.
