PETERBOROUGH captain Hans Andersen will have further medical tests today after his horror smash in Monday’s match with Ipswich.
Andersen was taken to hospital by blue light ambulance having suffered severe concussion when he collided with Witches rider Cameron Heeps.
An initial CT scan confirmed Andersen suffered a small bleed on the brain, although this is not thought to be a serious concern.
Further tests will establish the extent of any additional damage, with some concern over Andersen’s wrist.
Andersen was joined at hospital by former Panthers co-promoter Mick Bratley, a long-time friend and manager dating back to his first spell with the club.
Bratley said: “There is a small bleed on the brain but the doctors insist it is nothing to be too concerned about.
"They described it as a small vein popping which was no doubt caused when he landed on the track.
"His helmet was in a right mess and I'm just relieved he was wearing a neck brace as I feel that probably saved him from much more serious injuries.
"He was really dizzy and concussed when I left the hospital and had been vomiting.
"There is a possibility of an injury to his wrist which we'll know more about today."
All at the Crendon Panthers continue to send their best wishes to Hans, and we hope the following reports are positive.
