PETERBOROUGH are back home to face Ipswich on Monday in a battle of two newly promoted clubs (7.30).
And with the track record smashed twice in their three home meetings so far this season, co-promoter Colin Pratt says the Showground is the place to be. “It’s going to be a really tough meeting,” he said. “Ipswich will relish the prospect of coming here but Carl (Johnson) will have our boys up for the challenge. “The track has been amazing, every rider enjoys coming here and that can make it harder for ourselves, but if we all fire as a team then we will be fine. “I’m looking forward to a good night of speedway.”
Ipswich include David Bellego, who rode well for France in Saturday’s Speedway of Nations at Belle Vue, along with Chris Harris who has been in fine form and has caught the eye of GB boss Alun Rossiter.
The Crendon Panthers are still sweating on the fitness of Lasse Bjerre who crashed heavily last weekend – if he doesn’t make it they will utilise the rider replacement facility.
PETERBOROUGH: Hans Andersen, Lasse Bjerre, Ben Barker, Charles Wright, Rohan Tungate, Aaron Summers, Bradley Wilson-Dean. IPSWICH: Chris Harris, Richard Lawson, Danny King, David Bellego, Krystian Pieszczek, Cameron Heeps, Jake Allen.
