PETERBOROUGH are on a revenge mission when they face Belle Vue at the East of England Arena on Thursday (7.30).
The Aces have already beaten Carl Johnson’s men on home shale in the cup this season – but with Premiership points on the line the Crendon Panthers are keen to put the record straight.
Co-promoter Colin Pratt: “It’s a quick return for Belle Vue and they have a side who go well around our track. “I’ve been in speedway in one capacity or another for a long time and I can’t remember seeing so many last heat deciders. We had one again at Swindon on Monday. “Whilst it would be far more comfortable for us all to win before Heat 15 I think we would all settle for a thrilling meeting with a last heat decider and a Peterborough win! “The track record has gone twice in three meetings, it’s remarkable really and it wouldn’t surprise me to see it go again on Thursday.”
Panthers are sweating on the fitness of Lasse Bjerre after his crash at Newcastle on Sunday which saw him ruled out of the televised meeting at Swindon 24-hours later.
If he doesn’t make it then rider replacement will again be utilised to cover his four programmes outings.
PETERBOROUGH: Hans Andersen, Lasse Bjerre (if fit), Ben Barker, Charles Wright, Rohan Tungate, Aaron Summers, Bradley Wilson-Dean. BELLE VUE: Max Fricke, Ricky Wells, Dan Bewley, Steve Worrall, Kenneth Bjerre, Dimiti Berge, Jaimon Lidsey.
