PETERBOROUGH Speedway are delighted to welcome Crendon Timber Engineering as their main team sponsors for the 2019 season.
The company, whose head office is in Buckinghamshire and operate in several locations around the country, specialise in the design and manufacture of engineered timber products, assisting builders and developers to provide better homes.
The major sponsorship deal is their first involvement in speedway, and also enables them to entertain guests in the hospitality facilities on race-nights at the East of England Arena.
CEO Stephen Thompstone said: “Crendon Timber Engineering are delighted to be announced as the main sponsors of the Peterborough Panthers for 2019.
“The Construction industry has many fans of all forms of motorsport and we are looking forward to being involved with the team and giving them every support in the Premiership.
“We have launched our own ‘FASTRACK’ premium Manufacturing and Delivery Service for Roofs and Floors in 2019, and we will be hoping that we can work with the team to highlight this with our many customers across the UK.”
Thompstone does have previous knowledge of the sport, as for many years he and former colleague John Clarke fronted a long-running sponsorship at Coventry, under the promotion of new Panthers chief Colin Pratt.
Said Pratt: “I’m delighted to welcome Steve and everyone at Crendon Timber Engineering on board at Peterborough Speedway, and my thanks also to John for his help in pulling everything together.
“I’m really looking forward to having them involved and meeting up with them throughout the season, and really now we can’t wait to get started.”
The club would also like to place on record their thanks to former sponsors T.Balfe Construction for their backing over the last three years.
The Crendon Panthers will be on-track for the first time in 2019 at Press & Practice on Wednesday March 27, before hosting Belle Vue in the season-opener on Monday April 1.
