PETERBOROUGH have suffered yet another injury blow.
Danish racer Michael Palm Toft was involved in a crash when racing for King’s Lynn at Poole in the Premiership Grand Final on Monday.
Palm Toft came down in Heat 12 when he appeared to be collected by fellow countryman Frederik Jakobsen, although it was Palm Toft who was controversially disqualified.
More importantly, though, later x-rays confirmed he had suffered a broken hand, and he therefore joins Scott Nicholls, Bradley Wilson-Dean and Tom Bacon on the sidelines for Panthers.
Promoter Ged Rathbone said: “It’s another setback for us and obviously we wish Tofty all the best.
“We’re now trying to sort out guests for the weekend and hopefully we can pull out a trump card for Rye House in particular.”
