PETERBOROUGH will be without Michael Palm Toft for their Championship clash with Redcar on Sunday.

Palm Toft crashed at Swindon when representing his Premiership club Leicester, for whom he is on a short-term deal, in an abandoned fixture on Thursday.

The Dane was involved in a pile-up on the third bend of Heat 1 and although he was able to walk back to the pits under assistance, it is understood that he has suffered a sprained ankle.

Panthers have moved quickly to book one of their 2017 team members Paul Starke, who now rides for Glasgow, to guest for Palm Toft in the match against the Bears.

Ironically Palm Toft was only able to ride for Leicester on Thursday after Panthers’ trip to Sheffield was postponed earlier in the day.

That meeting has been quickly re-arranged for Thursday May 3.
