IT was celebrations all round as Peterborough resurrected their play-off hopes with their biggest win of the season.
Team boss Trevor Swales had read the riot act to his under performing squad last week - and got the perfect response!
The Readypower Panthers stormed to their biggest win of the season demolishing bottom of the table Swindon 63-27 to pick up a valuable three points.
Poland crowd-pleaser Krzysztof Buczkowski was given the traditional bumps after his first-ever Elite League maximum; skipper Nicki Pedersen was unbeaten for the first time in Peterborough colours; and young Swede Linus Sundström claimed his best ever Panther's score.
Swales said: "That was a stunning performance from everyone and it wasn't even a flattering scoreline. We could have won by more as Richard Lawson wrecked an engine when it blew to pieces literally yards from the line when he was winning Heat 2."
It was also the idea boost for Buckzek as he heads into Saturday's 2012 Grand Prix Challenge in Sweden.
He said: "It's a fantastic feeling to finally get a maximum in England. I have come close before, but this is the first time I have managed it and I'm very happy.
"I felt good on the track and it showed. Now I hope to get some more and keep helping the team."
Pedersen's partnership with Buzz is proving to be a real match winner at the East of England Showground and they gave the Panthers a blistering start with another opening race maximum with the Danish Champion using a borrowed Michael Lee engine.
The former World Champion turned tuner was in the pits with Pedersen who admitted: "I'm very pleased and I have to thank Michael. For sure we all knew I had small problems with speed. We are not there 100%, it's a new engine and already I feel comfortable and that's not a bad start!"
A measure of Peterborough's total domination was they only had one last place in 15 races when returning teenager Kacper Gomolski, riding despite damaging his thigh in a high-speed crash in Poland on Sunday couldn't get the better of Robins' duo Maciej Janowski and top-scorer Simon Stead in Heat seven.
Every home rider claimed at least one paid win as the Panthers provided 12 of the 15 race winners.
