The Peterborough Readypower Panthers produced yet another sizzling comeback to stun the table-topping Eastbourne Eagles and gain their first maximum points haul of the season.
The home side again required a late effort to win the meeting and they managed to overhaul an eight point deficit to run out 52-38 winners, with every team member contributing important points.
Star of the show for the Alwalton men was birthday boy Norbert Kosciuch, who produced one of his best ever Panthers performances with an 11 paid 12 score. He said: "I was very, very happy tonight. It is just my third meeting with the new silencers and I have to get used to them, but I am getting used to the track here.
"The Showground is a very fantastic track and I like it a lot. I have been very happy for the start of the season and it is good for the team because we are winning. I just have to do the same at the away tracks now!
He continued: "Today was just a normal race day, no birthday celebrations! Maybe on Sunday or Saturday I will have my friends over and celebrate, but today was just normal."
Whilst Kosciuch was the Panthers man of the match, new boys Kacper Gomolski and Linus Sundström both put in their best Peterborough performances to date and Troy Batchelor continued his excellent start to the season with 11 paid 13.
Joint Team Manager Wayne Swales was delighted with the nature of the win: " I know it's a bit of a cliché but it was a real team effort tonight. Every rider threw in at least one good ride and we had to battle again. We struggled early on for reasons we have talked about privately but we got on with it and we pulled it out of the bag again."
The Panthers now face an 11 day break before travelling to Wolverhampton (May 9) in a week that also sees league favourites Poole visit the Showground (May 12).
